Pass 5: what changed and what to test

Test 1 is built: home.hero.format arm A is the Descent, arm B is the scan-card hero. Both complete, both carry the headline, sub and CTA slots. The xslots row above switches arms; only the live arm loads anything.
Fix 1, low data: data saver or a 2g/3g connection gets the poster plus 6 key frames (the story text still steps on scroll). "Simulate low data" above shows it; it also works through a reload.
Fix 2, sideways phones: three frame sets now. Portrait 720x1280 (4.9 MB AVIF), small landscape 960x540 for phones held sideways (3.5 MB), landscape 1600x900 for tablets and desktop (10.0 MB). Chosen by viewport size, not only aspect. On rotation the second set is not fetched until the new orientation has held one second.
Fix 3, privacy: the Jeep's plate and the house number are tracked and blurred in the pipeline, in the frame set and in the landing loop (the loop and its poster were re-cut). Portrait set never shows either.
Fix 4: "Read my lawn" sits in the first screen under the headline; it jumps to the landing field.
R-J: both address forms are GET /scan/?address=…&src=home. No Google script on this page, no resolve call. In this explorer the submit is intercepted to show the Scan demo and the URL it would hit.
R-E: captions say Long Island only. The field is never prefilled.
R-H: proof.order arm B is a second DOM copy in the new order; keyboard and screen readers follow the eye.
Fonts (D-211): the site keeps Montserrat and Open Sans; Barlow Semi Condensed numbers are shared with the app. The toggle is gone. At build: self-hosted and subset, only the display weight preloaded, font-display swap.
Theme: dark is the default (D-210). Light only by the toggle; the phone's setting is never read.
Pass 9.1 (Chris, Oct 16): the auto before/after slider is landscape on phones too. The photos are landscape (before 4:3, after 16:9) and the old 4:5 phone frame cut away more than half of each; now it runs edge to edge at 16:10, the desktop shape, and a phone held sideways gets a taller cap.
Pass 12 (D-224, Oct 17): the text on every orange fill is --warm-fg #0E1D14, 6.4:1 in both themes (the Read my lawn buttons, the floating pill, the 25-member badge, the Start here tag, the You marker). White on #F57842 (2.75:1) is retired on the site and in the app. Nothing else changed.
Pass 11 (Oct 16 late): Chris confirmed every member's written OK, so the pending tags are gone and the four quotes stand as approved words (D-207). Tony M. is in Holbrook, NY (Chris). Mark J. still held for LMP.
Pass 10 (Oct 16 night): D-221: a founding spot is taken at the first successful payment, so the line reads "the first 250 paid members". The four members' words are in their cards as Chris sent them (Nick W., Michal, Tony M., Brian A.); each card keeps a small tag until Chris confirms the written OK per member (D-207). Chris also sent words from Mark J.; D-214 removed his card, so they are held for LMP. Pass 9b: the slider is landscape and edge to edge on phones, and the after image no longer re-crops as the line moves (it was capped by the global img max-width).
Pass 9 (D-214, LMP's pass 8 audit): (1) the bag is $120 to $146 per 5,000 sq ft, NY and PA list prices before rebates (F-117 corrected; the $89.99 was a Midwest chain), so DIY with Flight Plan is $219 to $391 and the $1,200 example's gap is $809 to $981. (2) One plan on home: Flight Plan, plus "See all plans"; the three-pill picker is gone (D-087). (3) The founding price is the shown price, written "$99 a year, founding price through May 31, 2027 or the first 250 members, then $129", never "was". (4) Four quote cards: Nick W. (Suffolk County), Michal (Commack), Tony M. (town pending, "Founding member" because his price is locked), Brian A. (Ronkonkoma, a current member); neutral "Member" badges; bodies stay marked placeholders until each member's words and written OK. Mark J. removed. (5) Autocomplete stays the suggestions data API under our own input (ruled). (6) The proof strip reads bbProofCounts: 7,136 settings, 490 products with a setting, 187 spreader models, from Spreader DB lookup v1.3.0, label-sourced entries only; a stub here, GET /wp-json/blade-boss/v1/proof-counts at build, nothing typed into the markup.
Pass 8 (Chris, Oct 16): the math now does what D-207 says: hire it out vs do it yourself with Blade Boss. Both bars start at $0; solid is the low end, stripes run to the high end. The DIY bar is the bag ($90 to $292, F-117) plus the plan price, read from a tier registry stub that copies PRICING v1.3 (Flight Plan $99 founding, Full Panel $199 founding, Wingman $1,416); at P5 the server prints bbTierRegistry and nothing in this markup carries a price. The plan pills let you see all three; the worksheet gap includes the plan and never says "save up to". The Long Island 54/45/57 line (F-117) is in. Three quote cards: Nick W., Mark J., Brian A.; every body is a marked placeholder until each member's written OK (D-207). Mark is badged "Founding member" because D-207 marks a locked-price member that way (confirm he is row 344); Brian's badge is past tense per D-027. Flip cards now say what the device can do: hover on a mouse, tap on touch (there was never a hold). The big slider is centered when the 70vh cap narrows it (it sat left with a 136px hole at 1440x900). Green highlight confirmed by Chris; the orange toggle is gone.
Pass 7 (D-211 + LMP's shake fix): the desktop wiggle was the landscape motion table, not the scroll: the sparse fit locked onto the house and trees through the gimbal tilt, so 14 of 55 steps slid the picture the wrong way and snapped back at each frame. All three tables are now dense whole-frame affine fits (LMP's method, refit by SITE on the exact frames that ship, 960 set included); draw() applies them partially. Highlight is green by default (toggle keeps orange as the alt until Chris sees it on his phone). Shop lives in the hamburger and the footer. The address field loads Google's suggestions on first tap, never with the page; this sandbox blocks Google, so a stub panel shows where they appear. The native input keeps autocomplete="street-address" for iPhone AutoFill, which is why the prototype uses the suggestions data API under our own input rather than the PlaceAutocompleteElement web component (it replaces the input); LMP to confirm at build.
Pass 6 (Chris's desktop and phone notes): highlighted words in every headline (orange, toggle to the live site's green); the math section is now two sourced ranges on one dollar line with your own number placed on it; before/after fixed (after on the right, like the live slider) and it auto-demos 20, 80, 50 until touched; flip cards are 5:7 so the whole photo shows; the big BLADE BOSS ghost wraps on phones; the live footer's structure; back-to-top and a floating Read my lawn on phones; Log in in the nav and the menu; the nav carries the live site's link set (no Shop on the live nav either, LMP's call); SMOOTH SCROLL OFF above turns Lenis off so the desktop shake can be isolated.
